Silver Spoon Jewelry - Looks cool and a great investment!

So lately i been on this real kick about old jewelry. i remembered a few weeks ago loosing one of my moms old rings (a really long time ago) that i really liked (she didnt even know i had lost it till i mentioned it). She thought she had it and we went looking through her various jewelry hiding places. Sadly we didn't find the ring i was looking for.I ended up buying one that looks like it on ebay since it was the only one on there that looked like it and it has a great story to it. Supposedly it was found by divers in the atlantic ocean.

But anyway as we was searching we found moms old spoon ring. Mom said i could have it but i didn't feel right taking it. Well anyway what got me really started was we ended up going to our local annual street fair and we ended up coming across this guy and his booth full of silver spoon jewelry. Not only could u buy rings, but necklaces, bracelets, hair clips...anything you could think of. Well of course i didn't have the money to buy anything but i thought it was really neat. Anyway i been searching for weeks for the bracelet ones and i tried the usual amazon, ebay. Well finally i typed it into google search and came across this site called etsy.com that sells handmand items. They have 85 pages full of silver jewelry! I am so excited. I already have a few pieces that are saying rachel buy me...but my head is saying rachel you dont got the money right now....but anyway here is the link and a few pieces i got my eye on although there way to expensive

http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade?q=silver+spoon+jewelry

This totally just describes what i have been going through for the past few months...if you click on the pic it will take you to the link but its 128.00 dollars ouch!

Another totally describes me....always got my gears a going.....can click on the link for it this one is 45.00

This one is made of 2 forks...can click on the pic for link to page 38.00

So obviously as you can see they are very unique and you will also notice pretty expensive. The one thing i want to point out is that yahoo had a video recently saying that one of the best things to invest in is gemstones as in the real ones not the fake ones off the walmart shelf. They said that the value of gemstones does not decrease it only increases. This includes diamonds, gold and of course silver! So pretty much yeah you will be paying 38.00 or more for a piece of silver now but in the future it could be worth more then what you paid for it. If your not wanting to do jewelry you can also do old coins (like my fiance is doing :)).

Few Cheap Online Clothing/Jewelry websites

For the last 2 months i been looking for places where i can buy cheap clothing. My hubby had the nerve 2 months ago to tell me i dress to much like a guy. After thinking it over and looking around at the other woman in my town i decided maybe he is right. So i started looking and found a few websites i wanted to share/interested in trying.

PBandJapparel.com- What i love about this site is that all the clothes are 15 dollars and under.Best part shipping is only 5 bucks and hey if you spent 50 dollars shipping is free. The clothing is great and shipping is fast. I got my stuff in 4 days. The owner is also very nice. She also has a blog and youtube video giving tips on makeup and hair (that you could use with the outfits). Definitely top person i go to see when looking for new clothes!

599fashion.com- during my quest for cheaper clothes i stumbled upon this one. What i like about this site is that everything is 5.99 or under. Shipping starts at 6.95 and goes up based on how much you purchase with the website. The shipping is the only sucky part to the deal. I personally have not bought anything yet (waiting for some spare cash to come in) but i am really excited to :).

modaxpressonline.com- This is another site i found. Its not as cheap as 599fashion but it still pretty decently priced clothing. However, shipping is the cheapest it starts at 4.95 and goes up.Haven't shopped at this one yet but hope to one day.

fashionjewelryforeveryone.com-Another one i stumbled upon. This website only sells jewelry. Prices are decent and shipping starts at 3.95 and goes up. Hope to shop at soon.

cheap-discount-jewelry.com- Jewelry store number 2. Really cheap. Shipping is estimated by how much you buy so you gotta attempt to buy something to find out. Another one i haven't shopped at but i am ready to .

State od the Dress - Website

A week ago there was a article on yahoo news about Robin Barcus and how she is creating a dress to represent each state which i think is great. I got to say this is one of my top favorites. Just something about it inspires me.Anyway i just wanted to share this and make a point that you can do anything you set your mind to :)

Download.com

Download.com is my go to site for software such as dvd burning software, web browsers, music players, antivirus software and etc. Pretty much any type of software you can think of they got it. I go to them more then anyone else because they guarantee no virus's. I have went online and downloaded multiple programs for dvd burning and have gotten a lot of virus's that way and it was a real pain to get them off. However, with them they guarantee no virus's and i have not gotten any virus's using them. They offer free and not free software so when your searching for software make sure you check if its free or not. Also, make sure its compatible with your computer. If you have windows xp and it only supports windows vista you don't want to download it. I usually download the free software just because i am cheap . However, i got to say the paying software does offer a free trial so best part is you do get to try it before you do buy. Many websites online want you to pay before you can even try it.  What i like about this site is that both professionals and regular people review the software so you can get a good idea if you want to even attempt to download it. Most of the people in the reviews will warn you on trying it. Like if you barly know how to work a computer they won't recommend it but if you know how to work a computer very well they will recommend .Overall really great site that i recommend checking out if you are wanting dvd software, antivirus software etc.

Elephant Ears

Before i moved to Mississippi (from Washington) about 10/11 years ago i had never seen a elephant ear. About a year later i seen my first one and thought they was really cool. In march of 2010 i bought my first house (at 22) and 2 months after moving in i found lots of elephants ears blooming in my back yard! I was like that is awesome. Especially with elephant ears costing 8 dollars for one. I have about 50 if not more in my backyard and every day there is always a new one popping up.

Anyway so i figure i would share my knowledge of elephant ears with those of you who like them, want to plant them but is really debating on it.

1)are hard to kill- most plants are really picky about being planted (and re-planted), you have a chance of them dieing on you and not coming back. However, elephant ears are not picky at all. I have replanted a lot of them and they may look not pleased for a day or two but they always snap out of it. Just make sure you give them there water after you plant them for the first 2 days then there good to go.

2) where to plant them-
a)they like half sun half shade. for example sun in the morning and no sun in the afternoon. Or no sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon. Some plants are really picky when they get there sun but not elephant ears. However, they don't like being in full sun. For example i had my elephants on cement next to our pool against the wood fence and they was not happy at all. I left them for 2 weeks and once i moved them and gave them water they was fine but they was very irked at me. They also like being planted where the ground is wet or just a little moist. I have a lot of mine planted next to a creek and they seem to really like it.
b)You also need to account for how big they can get. Here is a picture of me with my biggest one (i am 5'7).

Now i have not seen one this big, mine is the first. I have seen them probably half the size if not a little bigger so definitely account for that when planting.
c)elephant ears as you notice tend to lean in one direction so where ever you plant them account for them leaning.I like to plant my elephant ears all facing the same direction (them all leaning one way) and i recommend doing it cause if you plant them different it just doesn't look right. Now if you buy a bulb elephant ear you will not be able to tell what way they lean so if your picky (like i am) plant the elephant ear in a pot first and then when it comes up you can see what direction it will lean.

3)elephant ears populate- when elephant ears are happy you will begin to see them pop up baby's next to them so yeah they can populate more of them and pretty decently fast i have seen one come up in 3 weeks of replanting a elephant ear.

4) do they die back- yes. When first frost hits they will die. I don't recommend planting them where it snows cause they might not come back. They don' t like it that cold. However, if you live in a hotter area like i do then these would work for you.

Elephant ears are extremely easy to take care of. I live in a hot area and the ones i have in the ground i don't water them and the ones i have in pots i water them once a week maybe twice or if they look really druppy i water them. I definitely recommend planting them if your looking for something different and easy to plant.
